
Other achievements of Audio Visual Section of the Institute of Sindhology are
as under:
1) Almost 43 films on Sindh have been collected from different agencies.
2) 45 cassettes of various singer and artists have been launched.
3) The “RAG” of Shah Abdul Latif, as sung at the shrine of Shah Latif at
Bhit Shah has been recorded and preserved.
4) A number of personalities such as writers, scholars, educationists, politicians,
singers, artists, craftsmen etc. have been interviewed on VCR and their Audio-video cassettes have been preserved (it is a continuous process).
5) Folk and ethno-musical instruments have been collected and put on display.
6) A good collection of gramophone records has been transferred on Audio
tapes-cassettes.
7) The musical collection has been classified and documented.
8) Tunes of All Sindhi Musical Instruments have been recorded and preserved.
9) All Folk Tales of Sindh have been recorded.
10) Prominent poet’s poetry is recorded in their own voice.
11) 5000 slides of various cultural and traditional activities of Sindh.
12) 3000 slides of various monuments of Sindh in Colour and Black & White.
13) Recording of various Festivals, events of Saints of Sindh.
14) Recording of traditional sports of Sindh
15) Recording and preservation of various songs of all singers of Sindh.
