Govt to Increase Petrol Prices in Pakistan from October 1, 2025 – Check New Rates

Islamabad (September 29, 2025): Petroleum product prices in Pakistan are expected to rise once again from October 1, 2025, as global crude oil prices continue their upward rally.
According to industry sources, the ex-refinery petrol price is projected to increase by Rs. 1.97 per liter, moving from Rs. 160.93 to Rs. 162.90. Similarly, the ex-depot price of petrol may climb from Rs. 264.61 to Rs. 266.58, a rise of 0.7 percent.
High-speed diesel (HSD) is also set for a hike of Rs. 2.48 per liter, with ex-depot prices expected to reach Rs. 275.25. Meanwhile, kerosene oil will see the steepest jump, and light diesel oil (LDO) is also projected to become costlier.

If approved, the revised fuel prices will come into effect from midnight on October 1, 2025.
Economic experts warn that the latest adjustment will put additional strain on household budgets, with higher transport costs pushing up the prices of essential goods and services. Low and middle-income families, already struggling with record inflation and rising electricity tariffs, are expected to feel the greatest impact.
The final decision on the new prices will be announced by the government after reviewing the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) recommendations.
